We are a premier Independent Service Provider for FedEx Ground, the world’s leading Ground Delivery Company that timely and efficiently delivers packages to both residences and businesses in every major city and suburban area around the world. Our drivers are the face of our company, the most efficient and professional in the Ground Delivery industry.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a full time, year-round position, which offers competitive and secure income over the long run. The daily service consist of managing a Ground Delivery route, delivering 5 to 80 lb. parcels and making average of 110 to 120 stops per day to residential and commercial customers in your assigned area spanning approximately 10 square miles on Nantucket Island.
Compensation: $55K a year. Health and medical benefits after 3 months. Two weeks paid vacation per year, plus paid holidays.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Must be at least 21 years old.
* Must have a customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition.
* Must be able to lift heavy packages of up to 80 lbs.
* Must know how to navigate the roads using a GPS.
* Must have valid driver’s license AND clean driving record
== NO moving violations in the past 3 years
== NO revocations or suspensions in the past 7 years.
* Must meet Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements
== Must pass a D.O.T physical
== Must pass a D.O.T drug scan (and random drug screening after hire).
* Must have 1 full-year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years OR:
== 6 months of commercial driving experience with a certificate from a reputable trucking school.
== Commercial driving experience is considered, such as driving a commercial vehicle with commercial purpose that would require a medical card for cargo exceeding 10,000 lbs.
* Must have legal work authorization documents, such as:
== Social Security card
== Passport with current Visa
== Proper documentation proving legal authorization to work in the U.S.
