Admin/Interior Design Assistant

Small Nantucket residential interior design firm is looking for a part-time (20-25 hrs/week) Admin/Design Assistant. The ideal candidate can work year-round, provide both administrative and occasional design support, is reliable and has a go-with-the-flow attitude. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are a must. Applicants must be able to prioritize and work in a somewhat fast-paced environment (particularly throughout spring and early summer as we deliver projects on island). You will be immediately immersed in the interior design business…so a strong interest and some industry knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities include:
1. ordering product
2. source and price product as necessary
3. create, organize and maintain project binders (online and off)
4. maintain project budgets and schedules
5. maintain materials library
6. Running errands
7. Manage/maintain social media
8. Prep for client presentations
9. assist on project installations
10. receiving shipments
11. keeping track of purchases, deliveries and managing warehouse as necessary (where product is received off island)
12. General office organization and administration (e.g. filing, answering phones, general maintenance/cleaning, etc.)

Qualifications:
1. Office experience (preferably at least two years)
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (and Macintosh)
3. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
4. Knowledge of Autocad (not required)

Must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and your own transportation.
