The Easy Street Bulkhead Reconstruction Project is slated to begin on October 17 and continue through December 30, 2016. During that time, a portion of Easy Street from Old North Wharf / Cambridge Street to Oak Street will be closed. This will be a complete shutdown, with no through traffic allowed during that time. The reverse truck route will be implemented for travel to the Steamship Authority terminal; traffic from the SSA will remain the same.
To assist with traffic flows, the Town plans to reverse the traffic on Cambridge Street so that it flows from Easy Street to South Water Street, with no parking on “The Strip” to allow for two-way traffic on that section of Broad Street. There will also be a contingency plan for parking and traffic from Cliff Road at Centre Street, Easton Street and North Beach Street.
