Communications Manager

Summary:

This position is responsible for the creation, implementation and distribution of all internal and external communications that effectively describe and promote the club, its members, and mission. The Communication Manager performs a variety of tasks such as the creation and development of print and online advertising, email marketing and communications, web site management and content development, and all printed collateral. This individual will be responsible for building all of TWC’s social media profiles and presence.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversees the production of advertising and marketing communications materials. Sets print production schedules; negotiates with and selects vendors; and tracks and manages budgets and costs.
• Send out weekly newsletter of events and other e-newsletters as needed.
• Create graphic content for all Westmoor events for internal and external advertising including but not limited to: fliers, posters, print advertisements and all membership collateral including calendars, brochures, membership directory, etc.
• Manage other design needs such as presentations, signage, event programs and other collateral as needed.
• Assist in coordinating development, tracking success of the Club’s activities and social calendar.
• Creates layouts and designs of logos, advertising, marketing collateral, and other published materials in print and online. Selects and arranges photos, type, illustrations, and color.
• Collaborates with appropriate department head on social media management, promotions, and concepts.
• Build and manage The Westmoor Club’s social media profiles and online presence, including website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
• Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
• Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target audiences.
• Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about The Westmoor Club.
• Take and manage photo libraries for all Westmoor events.
• Assist the General Manager as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphics or related field as well as three to five years professional experience. Prior club experience is preferred.

Skill Set Requirements:

Must have good communication skills, a good phone manner, be able to multitask, and have a logical, level headed approach to all tasks. Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Candidate should be eager and willing to work and learn, have a strong work ethic and be available to work on weekends.

Must have proficient knowledge of all social media profiles and software applications necessary in the creation and distribution of communication and marketing materials both online and print.

Standard Club Requirements:

Employees are expected to present a clean and neat appearance while on the job. Excessive make-up and jewelry is not permitted. Employees are expected to arrive to work on time. Employees should conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with members, management and other staff.
