Food & Beverage Director

Great Harbor Yacht Club on Nantucket Island is looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Director to join their team of year round professionals. The Club’s season runs from late April to early December, with restaurant service from June to September. The right candidate will ideally have extensive experiences in 5* hotels and or leading restaurants and or a private club.
The Food and Beverage Director is responsible for the direct supervision of the Director of Culinary Operations/Executive Chef, banquet/event managers and all food and beverage service associates; a fine dining restaurant and a grill room, two snack bars and all banquet/event business. The Food & Beverage Director approves all menu items and restaurant concept ideas proposed by the Director of Culinary Operations/Executive Chef and manages all financial aspects of the department to ensure fiscal success.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a mature, professional and seasoned manner and have experience in dealing with a demanding clientele, a diverse dining offering including upscale dining, smooth restaurant operations and integrated personnel management of a diverse workplace and will become an integral part of a small management team. He or she must also possess excellent organizational, leadership and management skills, experience planning and implementing budgets, and a track record of success in training, developing and leading a team of member service-oriented staff.
