General Description: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Executive Director and managing the daily operations of the office.
Requirements:
• Ability to complete tasks independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional appearance and presentation
• Excellent computer and data processing skills,
proficiency using Windows OS & MS Office
• Minimum of two years of experience providing general
office support services
• Managing & reconciling invoices
• Completion of domestic violence and sexual assault pre-
service training (min. 35 hours) within the first year
of employment
• The ability to relate to diverse populations including
non-English speaking families, the GLBT community, and
individuals with histories of substance abuse and/or
mental illness
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Greet and direct visitors and clients to appropriate
staff person or resource
• General office duties
• Complete all administrative tasks as assigned
including, but not limited to: data entry; typing
reports/letters; marketing/public relations materials
• Record donations in donor database and ensure proper
acknowledgement in a timely manner
• Communicate A Safe Place’s events and news using social
media and e-newsletters
