The Pearl and Boarding House are located on Nantucket Island, MA. Over the past 25 years we’ve developed a thoughtful approach to seasonal employment. We offer competitive pay at all positions and offer assistance with housing for certain roles.The Pearl is specializes in Coastal Cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and pristine ingredients. The Boarding House is Modern American Bistro showcasing seasonal, local ingredients from the Island’s farms and local waters. Both restaurants have been recognized regionally and nationally for their cuisine and wine/cocktail programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pearl and Boarding House are seeking talented, dedicated line cooks interested in working with our team in a hands on Chef-owned restaurant on Nantucket Island. Fish butchery, sauce work, innovative approach to pristine seasonal ingredients. Scratch cooking, tasting menus, guest chefs & off-season referral program. Spend a season on Nantucket Island where you will learn, grow and cook with us.
Candidates must be reliable, work well on a team, willing to learn and grow with an acute attention to detail and have at least 2+ years practical experience. Applicants should possess a strong desire to learn and teach, as well as demonstrate good leadership skills. Above all, applicants should demonstrate a passion for ingredients, technique, discipline and hospitality. This is a full time seasonal position. A commitment to high standards and disciplines combined with a disposition to serve is a must. Staff housing is a possibility.
