Nantucket Island Resorts, a collection of premier hotels located on the beautiful island of Nantucket, MA is currently looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to oversee the daily operations of the front office for the White Elephant.
The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the Front Office, Bell Services, Concierge and Pool staff in an attentive, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a resort style hotel.
Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:
• Promote the professional growth and development of the entire Front Office team
• Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the team with other operational departments
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times
• Schedule and facilitate regular departmental training
• Be aware of all Hotel services/features
• Work a minimum of two days a week in reservations and any other open property, in a support role, when the hotel is closed
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
